ABOUT

Hello! My name is John, a passionate and dedicated front-end web developer with a strong foundation in the web development fundamentals required to create dynamic and user-friendly websites and applications. I specialize in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).

I graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering back in 2021. During my studies, which involved a great degree of programming and problem-solving, I quickly became interested in the software development world and knew that I would segway into a career in web development upon graduation. Since then, I've completed an online web development bootcamp and built a couple full-stack projects.

The technologies I'm currently working with are:

While I have some back-end knowledge, I plan on becoming well versed in intermediate concepts such as performance optimization, CSS pre-processors, CSS-in-JS and TypeScript, among others, before delving into full-stack territory. I am currently looking for a entry-level front-end developer position where I can contribute to exciting projects and continue to grow my skills.

When I'm away from my computer, I enjoy cooking and baking, drinking tea, and playing sports with friends.

A to-do list web app with authentication. Users can add, edit, and mark todos as complete, as well as create different lists. Todos can be filtered based on the list or whether they are scheduled or flagged, and sorted based on the due date and priority level.
